Candle Care

LEY ELLE candles are hand poured and crafted from natural soy wax. There are no harmful additives mixed in so the natural ingredients in soy may result in cracking on the tops of candles after burning which is perfectly normal for soy wax candles.

Always trim your candle’s wick 1/4 of an inch before each burn. This ensures an even, safe and steady burn. It will cut down mushrooming of wick, smokiness and flames that burn the sides of the vessel.

When burning the candle for the first time, after cutting the wick 1/4 of an inch, make sure you allow the candle to burn until the wax melts across the entire top of the candle. Depending on size this may take 2-4 hours, but it will increase the burn time and give off a better scent in your candle.

For safety, and to maintain the burn time and aroma experience of your LEY ELLE candle, DO NOT burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This is a common safety practice for all candles and also prevents ash from falling into your wax which may alter your candle experience.

If ash begins to occur during your candle experience, extinguish your candle immediately and allow it to cool before wiping the ash out. It is recommended to keep you candle free of debris such as ash, wick trimmings or any other objects.

To maximize your LEY ELLE candle life, store candles in a cool, dry and dark place. Avoid placing candles where they will be directly exposed to the sun or heat.

DO NOT burn your candles all the way to the bottom. Always leave 1/4 of an inch of wax at the bottom of the vessel. This is a common safety practice for any candle.

NEVER leave your candle burning and unattended.

Always practice the best safety habits and candle care when burning your candles by LEY ELLE! Enjoy.
